Filmmaker Profile

As a budding filmmaker, you draw inspiration from your life’s experiences and use these as muses for your art.

In this class, you will spend some time creating a mini-documentary, using motion graphics created in After Effects, that explores who you are, your influences, and your artistic vision.

Here are examples from a similar mini-documentary, with the exception of the artists being an aspiring musician and fashion photographer, rather than filmmakers:

Mini-documentary about your learning experience.

First Person Narrative about your journey.

Possible talking points:

–Introduce yourself
–What is it about you that draws you to this field?
–What are your influences (films, filmmakers, other)?
–Current Wishes, hopes, dreams, fears?
–What are you learning through research and practice (about self, field of study, people)?
–Where do you get your ideas?
–What does your future hold (college, career, art, etc.)
